Started from the 1st, January 2010, the “Regulation of Industrial
Cannabis Planting and Process Permission in Yunnan Province”
(Decree No. 156 issued by the Yunnan Provincial People's
Government) was formally implemented within province. This is the
first local government regulation that standardizes the cultivation and processing of industrial cannabis in China. It provides strong legal
protection for the development of industrial cannabis industry.
Currently 293,000 mu of industrial cannabis have been planted in
Yunnan with processing 241 tons of industrial cannabis flowers and
leaves over 58 counties within 13 cities.
